Julie Laperouse and her team of collaborating consultants are ready to jump in with feathers up to elevate your conference, team training, or one-on-one coaching.
Speaker, Trainer, Author.
Julie Laperouse has been screaming all her life, but made it a profession in 2008 founding her training and speaking business Screaming Peacock. Julie challenges and energizes clients through customized training courses, engaging keynote addresses, executive coaching, and people strategy.
Julie has worked with clients ranging from Associated Builders and Contractors to Gulf Coast Bank to Kean Miller, LLP and with other corporate and nonprofit organizations of every industry and size. She’s even spoken to the National Funeral Directors Association. (A much livelier crowd than you’d think!)
Julie speaks and trains on leadership, thriving as a woman in business, public speaking, working with humans, team building and more. She is considered an expert trainer and facilitator with an impressive track record of high-performing professional clients.
She is also an author, having published her first book in 2011, “Are you a Screaming Peacock?” which serves as a tag-along to her public speaking engagements. Maintaining Screaming Peacock as a side hustle, Julie has also served as Chief Talent Officer of Advantage Capital and Managing Director of Emergent Method. She also co-owned a janitorial supply business with her husband, Paul, and is willing to share her lessons learned about working with your spouse over an old fashioned.
Julie is a native of Jennings, Louisiana, and received her bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University’s Manship School of Mass Communication with a minor in Theater. She is active throughout her community and was included in the Baton Rouge Business Report’s “Forty Under 40” list in 2014 and named one of the “Most Influential Women in Business” in 2017.
In her free time, Julie enjoys cooking, running, throwing parties, and crafting with her four daughters, Annie Grace, Peyton, Beckett and Gentry.
Are You A Screaming Peacock?
A cross between a self-help book and your favorite “let me tell you about this time” stories. The peacock-themed lessons are ones the author is still admittedly learning every day, and that you have surely come across at some point as well. It’s not as much a revolutionary new message as it is a collection of reminders with a twist-a kick in the tail feather, if you will!
Julie Laperouse is a wonderful coach and public speaker. She leads a program called Next Wave for our upcoming leaders at Gulf Coast Bank. Her sessions are informative, fast moving, and fun. Our employees are fully engaged and really benefit from her sessions and individual coaching. It’s one of the best programs we have at GCB.
Julie crafted a multi-session lunch-and-learn series for our team. Her enthusiasm, experience, and unique presentation style kept everyone engaged and strengthened our team. We are better collaborators and communicators because of it.
We have hired Julie to kick off our annual Emerging Leaders program for almost a decade now. She has the participants laughing and learning in the first five minutes and the lessons stick with them! I highly recommend Julie if you are looking for engagement and enthusiasm!
Julie led our recent team retreat and it was truly the best one I’ve been a part of. Our entire team was really impressed and pleased with the discussions, activities, and takeaways. It was so helpful not only on a work front to get to know each other’s communication styles, but also on a personal front to check in with where we are in our lives and how that plays into how we show up at work. We were blown away and just had a really great day all around.
